DeKalb 6m & 12m AirDesic for Monsanto

Client Brief:

DeKalb commissioned Baconinflate to produce a series of hospitality and viewing structures for their stand space at ‘Cereals 2015’, Europe’s largest agricultural show to help showcase their products and services.

What we delivered:

A combination of two AirDesic structures were used; the 6m was raised on a 1.2m high platform with complete clear windows producing a unique environment to see crops on an elevated viewing platform, whilst the
12m provided a huge visual impact at 7m high with engaging internal environment. The AirDesic design is based around the geodesic structural form quick to install and easy to manage on different surfaces. The high pressure tubes and node configuration offer greater performance (60mph+) over more traditional air beam and air wall designs, well suited to exposed events such as outdoor exhibitions and festival sites and challenging UK climate.

The high frequency welded seams for the framework improves air retention and sustains pressure four times greater than standard inflation. This process also provided canopies that were 100% waterproof, which were
then fully printed using the latest in latex print technology. Finally the design was further enhanced with two solid glass door(s) and freestanding frameworks, Supa-Trac flooring, metal ‘Base Plate System’ allowing multiple surface operation as well as a series of colour changing DMX LED light fixings.
