The Adventure Learning Foundation run a facility at Green Park in Buckinghamshire. It provides exciting indoor and outdoor activities for residential trips, corporate events, family days and much more.
Whilst outdoor area isn’t lacking at Green Park, the team needed semi-permanent structures to act as flexible space for corporate activities, seminar rooms and hospitality. Sitting on the edge of a field, the structures also needed to have high wind loading capabilities as well as being engaging to a young audience.
What we delivered:
The AirDesic was the obvious solution for ALF’s requirement. The high-pressure geodesic framework boasts wind ratings of 52mph+, along with a fully welded and waterproof canopy. Built to be efficient in all weather, foil insulation was spec’d to improve the thermal qualities of the domes.
Baconinflate installed the 12m AirDesic, along with two elongated 6m versions - the 6m x 9m AirDesic Plus. ALF opted for a combination of green, grey, clear and translucent fabric to fit in with their brand and surroundings, along with digital print logo branding boards.
The custom built, silenced fans keep the structures constantly inflated and can be monitored and operated via an in-built digital screen. 5 tonnes of anchor blocks sit below the surface, acting as ballast along with metal base plates. A 40mm raised floor was installed, along with a non-slip polysafe flooring finish. The 12m AirDesic boasts an internal trussing framework with powder coated finish to enable the use of AV equipment and heating.
As a result, the domes have provided the venue with a completely unique event space adding to the exisiting on site facilities.
